NYMROD - a mighty one on earth, a mighty hunter before the Lord
NYMROD, born Corry Stokes, is a rapper out of Brooklyn, NY. During incarceration, NYMROD met fellow rapper Max B. who taught him the art of writing music. He joined forces with Max B. and fellow rappers Jim Jones and Camron. ROD was featured in Jim Jones' video “Ballin”. After studying various aspects of the music industry, NYMROD decided to take his artistry to the next level. In 2010, he was featured on the Unsigned Artist Explosion Tour and rocked venues nationwide.
Taking his bars far beyond the average rapper, ROD dropped his debut Album “I Am”, independently in September 2012. Since the release of his debut album, it has received nearly 1,000 downloads and close to 5,000 views. He also dropped a mixtape “My Town” in February 2013, which got a total of 20,000 views on various websites. Wanting to be more then just an artist, Nymrod developed his label Federal District ENT. Corp. and has been signed to the indie label Ingrooves/Fontanna/ Universal through which he has release his first major album a single and he will be releasing his first artist Under the Federal District name, Joey Battz. Nymrod also founded and owns “The Dictators” Which is a group under Protect Ya Neck Records and will be released in the Summer of 2015. In addition, Nymrod has created a sub label of Federal District, Federal X Alpha Dogs.
He has worked with artists like PMD of the legendary iconic hip-hop duo EPMD, Redman, Spliff Star, Junior Ried, Tyga and VADO. Nymrod is back with the release of his second album titled “The Tom Crown Affair”. This album was released on April 5, 2014 globally worldwide signed to Ingrooves/Fontana/ Universal under his own label Federal District ENT. Corp.. This album is crafted to take you on a journey through the eyes of a “sneaky thief” as stated in an interview on the album itself. If you have seen the movie you will understand the reason why Nymrod decided to craft the name around a business mogul, entrepreneur, and art enthusiast. The album has been released on iTunes, GooglePlay, AmazonMP3 ect. for download.
